Teed writes, "I sent $18.00 to Mr. Hoag(?) to be paid on the court fees of the "Damfooler" [n.b. This is what appears. The quotes are in the letter.] case. You look after it a little.(?) Teed goes on, although his handwriting is, at times, difficult. He speaks of "The Hickory Islands on ____? in the name of the Lame(?) Co. as they have not yet been transformed."
