Title:
Dear Sister Emma — Letter to Emma Norton — Brandt Pa. to Chicago (Beth Ophrah)
Scope & Content:
This letter, from a follower of Teed, written to Emma Norton at Beth Ophrah, is similar to her later letter of August 1893. She speaks of her joy at becoming a follower of Teed with words like... "My pen utterly fails me when I would tell you how much brightness your lovely letter and that of my other newfound sister brought into my life." Gardner also tells of her attempts to convert others. One friend, identified as "Katherine Smith" is quoted as saying; "Oh I feel so contented and happy when with you and you talk to me of this Cyrus. I believe Koreshanity is what I am looking for."
