Teed forwards a letter from the agent for the Chicago and Eastern Illinois R.R. asking about forwarding a trunk back to Chicago which was mistakenly sent with "24 colonists to Punta Gorda." Teed also speaks of other business, warning the people at Estero not to drink any water without boiling it first and making sure that new people do not go into the woods without escort.
