Ulysses Grant MORROW (RIN: 459), son of Alexander F. MORROW and Martha T. (MORROW) , was born 26 October 1864 in Barren County, Kentucky. He married Rosa Melissa WATTERBERGER abt. 1886. He died 11 September 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rosa Melissa WATTERBERGER (RIN: 460) was born 30 December 1866 in Milan, Sullivan, Missouri. She died 09 December 1946.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT ULYSSES GRANT MORROW by G. Earl Hay, Koreshan Volunteer 1995: Information compiled from various documents at Koreshan State Historic Site and verified by Lorraine Norton, granddaughter of U. S. Morrow, daughter of Harry Morrow.

1. Editor of "The Flaming Sword" in Estero. Had been publisher and editor of a paper in Allegheny region of Pennsylvania before joining Koreshans in Chicago.

2. Inventor of the Rectilineator and was in charge of the 1897 survey on Naples Beach where they proved to their satisfaction that the curvature of the earth was concave.

3. Authored part II of Cellular Cosmogony entitled "The New Geodesy".

4. Ulysses and Rosa Morrow left the Koreshan Unity 31 Jan 1909 after Koresh's death. They moved to New Orleans and he worked as a Linotype operator.

FLAMING SWORD, Vol. 50, No.3, March 1936, p.15 - Publishers' Department -- Allen Andrews, writing to the 'Item Tribune of New Orleans, refuting an article written about Prof. Morrow, says: "Away back in 1895 Ulysses G. Morrow (then a member of the C.T. Russell cult) was living in Allegheny Pa. where he published a monthly paper called the Herald..." The article also states that Morrow was then living in New Orleans.
