Enlisted in the army in World War I. Married Ethel Sherouse in Ft. Myers on the Edison winter home property where her father was grounds keeper. Harry and Ethel had one daughter, Lorraine. (Lorraine Norton is now working at the Unity Foundation) Harry was nicknamed "Chick." In a parade he crowed like a rooster and lost voice because he crowed so much."
