LAST MONTH we failed to report a trip made, to Clearwater by Brothers John Watson, William Fischer, and Alfred Christensen. Brother Daniel McNamara accompanied them as far as Tampa, where he remained for the little vacation mentioned in last month's issue. The others returned the same night. Sister Tacy Weaver spent a week with Mrs. John C. Home of Estero. Mrs. Murray Mason, Sisters Barbara Ehrisman and Florence Graham and Brother Jesse Putnam motored to Naples May twenty-third. A surprise party was held in the Art Hall on the evening' of May twenty-third, in honor of Brother Frank Rahn's birthday. An impromptu program and refreshments were enjoyed by the company. The program consisted of music by the orchestra, readings by Mrs. Edith Lueders, and a group of amusing songs by Brother Jesse Putnam, who accompanied himself on the guitar. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Mason have gone in thenpower boat to Sea Level, North Carolina. We have been advised of their safe arrival at their destination. During the past season they occupied one of the Unity cottages on the north side of the river. Mr. Robert Graham and Mr. Lloyd Graham cf Miami were week-end visitors recently. Mr. Henry Moreland and son, Mr. Floyd Moreland, were here at the same time, and all joined a number from the Unity in a picnic at Bonita Beach. The picnickers enjoyed an early morning swim and an appetizing breakfast cooked over a. campfire on the beach. Robert is nov/ attending the Century of Progress Exposition at Chicago. Lloyd plans to attend the Fair at a later date. Sister Etta Silverfriend and Brothers Alien Andrews, David Richards, and Claude Rahn made a business trip to Miami. On Saturday evening, May twenty-seventh, a program was given in the Art Hall. The orchestra played several selections and Mrs. Lueders favored us with some readings. Lloyd Graham was here at the time and added much to the orchestra with his flute. Mrs. Jeannie Miller left May 31 for Chicago, where she will visit friends and attend the exposition. Brother Alien Andrews, with Dr. F. K. Armstrong of Fort Myers, left for Chicago June first to attend the Fair as Dr. Armstrong's guest. He has written very interesting accounts for The Eagle of the trip and of the extraordinary things seen at the Fair. He gave a vivid description of the Florida exhibit, which many say is the best state exhibit there. In Brother Alien's absence, Brother Claude Rahn is acting as editor of The Eagle. Brother Alien will visit in Philadelphia and in Washington, D. C., before his return home, which will probably be some time in July.

Mr. Paul Lerch, his sister, Miss Claire Lerch, and their mother, who have been spending the past few months at Crescent Beach, made a call on friends at the Unity. They were returning to their home in Cleveland, Ohio, by way of Miami. Sisters Vesta Newcomb and Cora Stephens, Brothers Claude Rahn and Laurie Bubbett, and the writer motored to LaBelle on June first to attend the high school graduation exercises. Miss Olive Newcomb, niece of Sister Vesta, was one of the charming graduates. Olive was the president of her class. Mrs. Edith Lueders, Sister Etta Silverfriend, and Brothers Henry Silverfriend and Laurence Bubbett motored to Miami on business, returning the following day. They were accompanied on the trip there by Mrs. E. L. Rasmussen, who remained at her home in Coral Gables. The party returned by way of West Palm Beach, where they visited with Miss Marie Fischer, who formerly made her home at the Unity. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Raymond and Miss Cecil Hamilton of Fort Myers were dinner guests at the Unity on Sunday, June fourth. Other visitors that day were: Miss Lydia Pierce, Miss Celia Stavely, and Mr. Sam Bruton of Fort Myers; Mrs. Knight and son of Punta Gorda, and Mrs. E. L. Rasmussen of Coral Gables. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Moehrl of Norfolk, Virginia, and Fort Myers, visited the Unity gardens on June seventh. Mr. Henry Moreland and Floyd have gone to Colorado in their car, expecting to be away about two months. They intend to vist in Walsenburg, where they lived before coming to Florida, also in Denver and other points in Colorado. Mrs. Edith Lueders, Sister Etta Silverfriend, and Brothers Henry Silverfriend and David Richards were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Raymond and Miss Cecil Hamilton at their home in Fort Myers on the evening of June ninth. Miss Cecil Hamilton has left for her home in Duquoin, Illinois, where she will spend the summer. She will attend the Fair in Chicago before returning to Fort Myers in September. Mr. .and Mrs. Frank S. Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Herman McGee of Everglades were visitors here June eleventh. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis again visited us on the eighteenth. Brothers Frank Wilson and Peter Blem have extracted some very fine honey in the Unity apiary. The family was treated to a serving of honey in the comb and found it most pleasing to the taste. On Sunday afternoon, the eighteenth, Mrs. Isadora Boulware, Sisters Emily Bessemer, Vesta Newcomb and Florence Graham and Brother Je&se Putnam enjoyed a motor trip to Crescent Beach.
