Notes:
This issue of the "Florida Historical Quarterly" contained this article, etntitled, "The Shaker Community in Florida". Within that article is a reference to the Koreshans, and in particular, Edgar S. Peissart, who was, then, a member of the Koreshan Unity.

With our acquistion of the Harry Manley Collection, I have found reference to Peissart and how he tried to set himself up as the successor to Dr. Teed. The Shakers in Florida once referred to the Koreshans as a "racket".

Note on page—37 the footnote to a letter written by Dr. Graves to Ezra Stewart in 1907.
This article was not collected with the "H.W. Manley Collection".
