My Dear George — Letter to George Hunt — New Orleans to Estero — November 21, 1899

Teed writes; "My Dear George: Your letter comes to hand this a.m. I hasten to say that I did not authorize to agree to make any settlement of the claim that you designate in your communication. I felt perfectly satisifed that the case would go over. It was my intention to have been in Estero but Massie paid my expenses to come this way. A little later I will be with you. Tell Douglas [Lane ?] I will bring his gun[?]. The clothes I promised him were purchased before I left Chicago to be sent at once. I hope he gets them soon an that they suit[?]. Excuse haste. Love to Emma and all there. Ever your loving shepherd. Cyrus" [Note: This is the text of the entire letter. Also note that the letter was postmarked November 22nd and that it arrived in "Myers" November 26th and Estero, November 27th.]
