The Reeves Studay says the Planetary Court was build c. 1904—1905. This photo would have been taken not too long after it was built. Reeves also notes that the building "...was covered on the exterior with a heavy kraft paper..." (p.72)

This view of the Planetary Court shows the building at an early date. Note that the outside walls are covered in what appears to be tar paper. There is a woman doing some hoeing on the path and a woman (who appears to be Virginia Andrews) is sitting on the second story balcony.
