There are some "turn of the century" photos that show the Founder's Home in a similar condition. Note the self—guided tour booklet — p.2,4. Also note that on p.4 of the booklet, the balcony is embellished with ginger bread design. The house was built approximatey 1896. This photo dates to approximately 1897 or so.
