Group of Koreshan men
Accession:

Stephens Collection
Item ID:
1—011
Notes:
This photo is one of a group of photos that were all taken at the same time (based on the location and clothing). All the photos feature a group of "second generation" Koreshans. Identification is based on the caption located in the "Koreshan Story" by Sara Rea. (BK—000119). With that identification in mind, it is obvious that this photograph and 1—012 were taken at the same time. In 1—011 the man seated "appears" to be Henry Stewart Bosanquet. See photo #5—029 and compare that person, which is identifed as Stewart Bosanquet, and the person seated on the ground in this photo.
Also note that in the photo from "The Koreshan Story" shows Carlton Case seated on the ground. It is obvious that both photos were taken at the same time. It is, therefore, conceivable that Stewart Bosanquet took the photo of the men and women together, and Carlton Case took the one of the men. (1—011).
