Description:
This is a copy of a photo — the location of the original is unknown. It shows a group of individuals standing along, what appears to be, the Estero River. It was probably taken about 1895 based on Photo #4—005 which shows most of the same group, in the same clothing.
Based on that photograph which has many of the names written on the back, we find, from left to right, unk; Allen Andrews; Vesta Newcomb; Sadie Mealy; unk; unk(back); Lela Williams (front); Hattie Turner; Mary Mills; Victoria [Annie Ordway] ; then there are 8 unidentified men, witht he fourth from left appearing in 4—005. At the end of the line of people on shore is George Ordway.
In the boat, unk ; Will Morgan ; unk (next to Allen Andrews in 4—005) ; unk (next to Victoria in 4—005) ; unk ; unk, and the man alone in the boat is also unknown. The bird apparently has no name.
