However, we know that everything works according to law."

THE KORESHAN UNITY MEMBERSHIP LIST by Claude J. Rahn: Linius and Carrie Petersen. THE FLAMING SWORD; Community Current Events by Alafae Stephens; February 1934: "Mrs. Carrie Peterson and son Dale arrived on the nineteenth from Magna, Utah, to make their home at the Unity. Dale, who is fourteen years old, is a promising violinist. Mr. Peterson is at present employed as a gardener by a copper mining company in Magna, but is expected to be here within the next six or eight weeks." THE FLAMING SWORD; Community Current Events; October 1934: "Brother John Watson has been relieved from his duties in the bakery after a long period of faithful service. However, he continues to help Brother Franklin Jacke in the store. Sister Carrie Peterson now has charge of the bakery, and she's giving us some excellent whole wheat bread made from grain which is ground in our own small grist mill. Sister Carrie is proving to be a most useful and likeable addition to our community life." THE FLAMING SWORD; Community Current Events by L. W. Bubbett; December 1934: "We have lost another good baker in this person of Sister Carrie Peterson--as well as a likeable personality. But she did bake good bread! The Peterson family, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson and son Dale, have moved to Fort Myers. We regret that circumstances necessitated the move, for the Institution sadly needs able workers."

THE FLAMING SWORD; Community Current Events by Alafae Stephens; May 1934: "Dale Peterson, the young member from Utah, made a hero of himself by rescuing little two-year-old Freddie Douglas from drowning. The incident occurred on the afternoon of the thirtieth when Freddie was playing with some older children on the bridge spanning the Estero River. The child lost his balance and fell through the railing of the bridge into the deepest part of the channel. Attracted by the cries of the other children, Dale dove into the river, fully clad, and brought the gasping Freddie safely ashore. He then removed the water from the child's lungs by a method learned as a Boy Scout. Freddie was very wet and thoroughly frightened, but otherwise unharmed. He is a child of Mr. Harvey Douglas, a grove foreman in Estero. The little fellow was not meant to quit this life just yet, and Dale's prompt action saved the day and the small boy."

THE KORESHAN UNITY MEMBERSHIP LIST by Claude J. Rahn: Mildred Redding married Jesse Pike THE AMERICAN EAGLE; Community Current Events by L. W. Bubbett; July 1947: "On April 8 we were pleasantly surprised to have as callers at the Unity Mr. and Mrs. Jesse R. Pike of Summit, New Jersey. They proved charming guests and entertained us as much, perhaps, as we entertained them. Mrs. Pike prior to her marriage was Mildred Redding, who came to the Unity with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Redding, from Massachusetts in 1905. Mr. Redding died a year later, and mother and daughter returned north. Mildred was a girl of 14, but she remembered well the scenes of her girlhood and recalled the names of most of those residing here at that time."

Richards and R,. Pilgrim. FLAMING SWORD, Vol 50, No.11, November 1936, p.12 -- "Raymond Pilgrim, a new name to our readers and prominent featured in the above program, has a very pleasing baritone voice and his rendering of "Out of the Depths" was very well done. ...Raymond arrived in Estero on Monday, October 1, from Muscatine, Iowa and his coming was just like an answer to prayer, for he came prepared to perform uses to the neighbor and he has done this with a devotion that is truly sublime. He expects to be with us a little over a month, and says he wishes he could remain longer, but obligations compel him to return north. However, we hope he has sufficient "sand in his shoes" to want to return, and we can assure him that no one will be more welcome, for he is exceedingly well liked by all." FLAMING SWORD, Community Current Events by D. J. Richards, January 1937: The Unity's fame is well established within the confines of Lee County, as well as beyond, for its good bread, but now is has extended to Muscatine, Iowa. We were naturally pleased to get the following order from Brother Raymond Pilgrim: "Will you please send me a couple of loaves of that good bread for Christmas." He also stated: 'There isn't a day passes but what I think of my brothers and sisters in my beloved Estero"
