FOLKS WE KNEW WHILE IN THE K.U. by Marie McCready; Samuel Armour: "Vesta contributed names of Letitia and Mary, whom we did not know. Samuel was our first school teacher in Estero and later bought a sawmill near Brownsville, Fla. George later lived in Tampa and we saw him sometimes. Vesta says that Annie Armour was not related, but Bella cared for her during her illness and was her chief mourner."

FLAMING SWORD, Community Current Events by D. J. Richards, June 1937: "We were pleased to have Samuel Armour drop in on us on Wednesday, May 12th. Sam first came into the Home in Chicago and was there three and a half months prior to coming to Estero in 1895, where he remained many years. He has been in and out many times since his first contact with the movement but coming back is always like coming home to Sam. At present he has charge of the Unity's gasoline Filling Station."
