| Abstract |
This letter is difficult to read due to the handwriting. In the letter the author speaks of receiving mail from Representative Hendry, "...for this district of Ft. Thompson[?], requesting me to inform you via return mail at to status of map[?] which you sent me through him long ago." The letter then goes on to speak of examining "...the matter of different claimants who are settlers..." Apparently, Commissioner Wombwell was trying to settle all the claims and this letter is the "other side" of the Damkohler letters. |
